SurveyDXF Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SurveyDXF collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the SurveyDXF Android app.

SurveyDXF is provided by the developer listed for SurveyDXF on Google Play. For privacy questions, data deletion requests, or support, contact us using the developer contact email shown on the SurveyDXF Google Play listing.

Information We Collect

SurveyDXF collects limited information needed to run the app trial, verify purchases, and support the app.

• Device or other IDs: SurveyDXF creates a hashed, app-scoped device identifier derived from Android ID. This is used to provide one 30-day trial per device and to associate Google Play purchases with that device entitlement.
• Country or region: SurveyDXF may collect a country code and country name from SIM country, network country, or device locale when available. The app does not request precise location or coarse location permission for this.
• Purchase information: If you buy or restore a plan through Google Play, SurveyDXF may process the Google Play product ID, purchase token, product type, and purchase time. Payment card details and billing details are handled by Google Play and are not collected by SurveyDXF.
• App and license status: SurveyDXF stores trial status, entitlement status, expiry date, last seen time, app version, and related licensing records.
• Crash reports: SurveyDXF may create a crash report on your device. The report is only sent to us if you choose to share it.
• Location for Solar Observation: If you use the Solar Observation tool, SurveyDXF requests device GNSS/GPS position to calculate the Sun-based azimuth. Solar Observation position, time, readings, and reports are processed on your device and are not automatically uploaded to SurveyDXF servers.
• Feedback and support messages: If you choose to send feedback, bug reports, feature requests, or support messages by email, we receive the message content and any information you choose to include. SurveyDXF does not automatically attach project files, GNSS data, observation data, logs, or device identifiers to feedback emails.

Information Stored Locally

SurveyDXF is designed for field work. Your DXF files, project data, station presets, saved points, level runs, Solar Observation data, settings, CSV exports, PDF exports, text reports, and backup files are normally stored locally on your device. These files are not uploaded to SurveyDXF servers unless you choose to export, share, back up, or send them using features on your device.

How We Use Information

• To activate and enforce the 30-day device trial.
• To verify Google Play purchases and restore entitlements.
• To prevent trial or purchase abuse.
• To provide app functionality, support, troubleshooting, and compliance records.
• To understand the country or region where the app is used for support and operational planning.
• To calculate Sun-based azimuth in the Solar Observation tool when you choose to use that feature.
• To read and respond to feedback, bug reports, feature requests, or support messages that you choose to send.

Third-Party Services

SurveyDXF uses the following services:

• Supabase: Used to store licensing records and run server-side license and purchase verification functions.
• Google Play Billing and Google Play Developer API: Used to process, verify, and restore purchases made through Google Play.

These providers process data as needed to provide app functionality, purchase processing, fraud prevention, security, and compliance.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. We do not use user data for advertising. We may process data with service providers such as Supabase and Google when needed for app licensing, purchase verification, security, legal compliance, or support.

Security

SurveyDXF uses HTTPS/TLS for network communication with Supabase and Google services. Licensing tables are protected by Supabase Row Level Security and are accessed by server-side functions rather than direct public table access.

Retention And Deletion

Licensing and purchase verification records are kept while needed to provide trial enforcement, restore purchases, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and provide support. You may request deletion of SurveyDXF licensing records using the SurveyDXF data deletion request page.

Some purchase or compliance records may need to be retained when required for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Children

SurveyDXF is a professional field survey and CAD drawing utility. It is not directed to children.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when SurveyDXF changes how it handles data. The updated policy will be posted at this page with a new updated date.
