This page explains how BMGIS users can request deletion of their account and how public BM community submissions are handled.
BMGIS is an independent field utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official app of Jabatan Ukur dan Pemetaan Malaysia (JUPEM) or the Government of Malaysia.
After a deletion request is submitted, the request is recorded for follow-up processing. The user is then signed out of the app.
Account deletion is intended to remove or disable account identity and private account records, including:
BM updates, photos, coordinates, condition information, and comments submitted through the Add or Update BM workflow may already be public in the app under the BMGIS Terms of Use. When an account deletion request is processed, BMGIS may retain those public BM community submissions so the benchmark map remains useful, while removing the requester’s account identity, display name, and ranking association from that content.
Public BM submissions may still be moderated, hidden, corrected, or removed if they violate the Terms of Use, create privacy or safety risks, or are no longer useful to the service.
